West Seattle Backyard Wedding | Seattle Wedding Photographer
Happy August, my friends! This is the month o' weddings around here. Every weekend, I get to celebrate with another seriously rad couple and their VIP's. (Best job ever? Best job ever.) I wanted to quickly crawl out of my editing cave to share some photos from Natasha & Casey's backyard wedding. These two worked their you-know-what's off on all of the stunning details you'll see below. From one of the most gorgeous handmade chuppahs I've ever seen, to the signage that gave nods to their Bay Area home... these two put in a ton of blood, sweat, and tears into personalizing this event for their friends and family. At the end of the day, though, they'd probably tell you that it was worth every amount of energy they put into it.
Highlights for me included (but were not limited to:) hilarious and heartfelt toasts from the couple's friends; vibrant oranges, yellows, and pinks; the super-fun Hora dance; the groom's attentiveness to his sweet grandma; one of the most creative grand entrances I've ever seen; and that crazy-spectacular West Seattle sunset.
Like many life transitions, wedding planning sometimes breaks us down a bit, almost to the point of saying "Forget it! Let's elope!" Wedding planning is kinda like weight training; your muscle fibers actually have to tear in order to heal, growing back much stronger than they ever were. The challenging periods of planning a wedding can do this for your own personal growth, and for the growth of your relationship. If you can survive planning a wedding together, you can pretty much get through anything.
Congrats, Natasha & Casey!
