Seattle Courthouse Wedding Photographer - Corie & Steve at Seattle Municipal Court & Four Seasons
Corie and Steve. You sweet, sweet people, you! I can't even begin to tell you all how special it was to be a part of their wedding day. These two have been through a lot together, and I could tell they really couldn't wait to be married. Like more and more couples these days, they decided to keep their wedding small. As in... I had to hire a second shooter so they could have two witnesses sign their marriage license small. I've never signed a marriage license for a client before! It was a really a privilege.
It's always a tough choice to keep your wedding small. But the thing is, you have to do what feels right to you. Corie and Steve had their own vision of what their day might be like if they did it their way, and they went for it. That, to me, is courageous. And it speaks volumes about how much they just wanted to be married already.
We started the day at the Four Seasons in downtown Seattle, rushed to the Seattle Municipal Courthouse for the ceremony, and rounded out our portrait time with a little champagne, a stroll in the sunshine, and lots of laughs. (Pinch me. This is my job?!)
Corie & Steve are cat-lovers (as am I!) so we had to stop for a photo-op with the weird/awesome graffiti at the Pike Place Market...
An extra-big thanks to Katie Cann-McTaggart for being my sidekick (and wedding witness #2) for the day! Readers: If you know someone who might be having a small courthouse wedding or elopement, send 'em my way! I'm offering $100 off any courthouse wedding/ elopement photography package booked during the month of April. :)
