A Snowy Suncadia Road Trip
Who knew winter could be so eventful? In the past few weeks, I have been all over the place. I attended the Photo Field Trip in Santa Barbara, CA at the end of the month (which was amazing and I'll share more about it soon....) After that workshop was done, I road tripped out to Las Vegas with some photographer friends to attend the WPPI expo. Soon after I got back into town and caught up on some work stuff, my husband and I joined some friends for a birthday celebration (Happy Birthday, Alex!) at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, an easy drive from Seattle. If you've never been up to Suncadia, it's definitely worth a trip. A couple hours on I-90 and you're there! The drive was really rainy, but it added to the cozy atmosphere we experienced upon our arrival. How cozy? Think a warm fireplace, cheese for days, a glass of wine, Cards Against Humanity, and comfy pants. Awwwww yeahhhh!
Sunshine is great, and I loved my time in California & Vegas, but it's also very nice to be back home in this vampire-weather. :)
Here are a few shots I took during our drive & stay at Suncadia. I processed them all in a new software that I'm trying out called Alien Skin, and decided to do them all in black & white, just to change things up a little.
Shout out to my friend Colby who wouldn't let the rain keep him from playing on his phone in the hot tub.
