Seattle Elopement Photographer - A Wintry Seattle Wedding
Sometimes, planning a wedding can feel like a full-time job. If you've ever planned a large wedding, it can take months --or YEARS-- to prepare for the event. And sometimes, couples realize that planning a huge celebration is not something that resonates with them, or that they can relate to at all. That is where Alexa and Teague landed with their wedding planning when they contacted me in November; they wanted a "simple, cozy, and intimate" wedding, with only their families present to celebrate with them. No matter what your vision is for your wedding, do it your way. It doesn't matter to me if there are a thousand guests or ten; just make it yours. Elope, if you wish! Go crazy with it! Whatever you do, make it your own and don't look back.
I met Alexa and Teague at the Olympic Sculpture Park for their portraits on a drizzly December afternoon, and the rain kindly held off long enough for us to get some shots of them amongst the sculptures. Then, it was on to the Seattle Municipal Courthouse for their family photos and ceremony. For their reception, they enjoyed a relaxed dinner in the private cellar at Staple & Fancy in Ballard.
I really enjoyed being there for A&T's courthouse ceremony. The Seattle courthouse building is really lovely... I actually can't wait to go back and photograph more couples there!
Congrats, Alexa and Teague! Your celebration was beautiful; down-to-earth, and cozy as can be. :)
