My Winter So Far: Online Education & Travel Inspiration
Hey everyone! Ahhh, winter. If I ever thought that I might be bored this winter, with wedding season not starting up again for another month or so, I was horribly, horribly mistaken. The last few months have been some of the most creative, fun, and jam-packed months of my life. I am really getting excited for wedding season to start back up, but in the meantime it's fun to have the winter to grow my skills and try new things.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been working behind the scenes and in front of the camera at creativeLive.com, which is an online source for free, world class photography education. cL is also expanding to produce business, health and fitness, as well as other kinds of workshops in addition to photography classes. If you've ever been interested in learning more about photography especially and don't have the time submerse yourself in a longer-term photography class like the Rocky Mountain School of Photography's Summer Intensive, I would definitely recommend checking out creativeLIVE.
This week, I'm co-hosting Photoshop Week on CreativeLIVE. It's going to be a ton of fun, so drop by the chatrooms and say hello if you're watching! Check out the trailer for this week's event below:
On another note, I wanted to also share a side-project that I've been working on with some girlfriends of mine. As you may have noticed from my blog or instagram, I love to travel. On my Instagram account, I post travel photos allllmost as much as I post cat photos. :) Many of my travels over the past few years have been with a core group of girlfriends, and we started thinking that it might be fun to put together a place where we can share our adventures. So, to make a long story short, my partners in crime: Jenni, Abby, Tracy, Kendra and I, have put together a website of our travels, including resources for awesome girlfriend getaways such as travel guides, packing lists, and blog posts of our trips together. All in the name of inspiring all of you to get out there are travel!
Our site is called Get Your Travel On! and we would really love to hear your feedback! Hopefully it helps other ladies plan some really great adventures. Give us a "like" on facebook, if you're interested! It takes a lot of hours and organzing to put a website together, but so far it's been totally worth it and really rewarding to be sharing our experiences with anyone who wants to hear them.
Next month the cherry blossoms will be in bloom, and I'm sure I'll have some engagement sessions to share with you all then. Can't wait!
