Personal: Little Eleanor. Fashionably late but right on time.

One of the important things you should know about me is that I've had the same best friend since I was 8 years old.  Janet, who was my very-preggers maid of honor at my wedding in October and BFF since 2nd grade, truly does possess the other half of my brain.  We've had a crazy psychic connection since we were little, so I shouldn't have been surprised when I dreamed that she was pregnant and sent her a text the next morning telling her so, only to receive an excited phone call minutes later from her, informing me that (drumroll please) she WAS pregnant!  Freaky?  Coincidence?  Yeah, not after 20 years of this kinda thing.  :) So, it's been an exciting year, getting prepared for this baby to join us.  Eleanor was born on Thanksgiving day, 2 weeks after her due date and only 1 day before she was scheduled to be induced.  Like Janet's sister told me in a celebratory text message that day, Eleanor was "fashionably late but right on time..."

I booked a flight not long after Eleanor made her debut, and am soooo glad that I got to go visit Janet, her husband Clayton, and little Eleanor in Philadelphia for a few days last week.  She's a really good baby and slept long enough for me to sneak some photos of her.  Side note:  Janet and Clayton did an awesome job of decorating the baby's room - just look at those gorgeous striped walls and accents of yellow!  It's dreamy and adorable.

Eleanor, gee, I think you're swell!
