Krista Welch is a photographer based in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in weddings, documentary-style family portraits, and working one-on-one with entrepreneurs and creative professionals in need of headshots and personal branding imagery.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, Krista worked in the corporate architecture world for several years before returning to school to study photography at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. She was smitten. She never looked back.
Krista started her wedding photography business, Love Song Photo, in 2010 and has since joyfully photographed well over 100 weddings of many sizes and styles, with features in Style Me Pretty, Artfully Wed, and Seattle Bride. Krista balances wedding work with other types of photography-related interests; she's even worked as an on-screen workshop host at a Seattle-based startup called CreativeLIVE, geeking out over camera gear and interviewing some of the photography world's leading educators.
Krista continues to be amazed at the places photography has taken her. In 2014 she traveled to India, where she and a few friends founded a US-based nonprofit called c'mon team!, a collective of 200+ creatives from around the world who desire to make the world a better place by working together. Together, they've organized several volunteer events for creative professionals who are dedicated to serving nonprofits.
Krista loves combining her interests and enjoys blurring lines between her passions; she's had a lot of fun doing portraits and interiors photographs for Architecture + Design firms, as well as serving other entrepreneurs, creatives, and small business owners.
She is available for contract work, whether it be corporate or small business head-shots, architectural photography, or another fun project you may have in mind. She always welcomes any opportunity to travel.
